Surfside Beach was first incorporated in 1964. This once quiet beach town has evolved over the decades and is known as ‘The Family Beach’. Home to a small number of permanent residents, the community is comprised of thousands of summer residents and vacationers.
Situated opposite Ocean Lakes Campground and in near proximity to area tourism and permanent population base alike, US 17 Business connects to nearby SC Highway 544. This corridor is the primary point of entry to the south strand coastal region. High traffic counts, high visibility and ease of access to this plaza invite a number of uses.
